The Wonder Of You (Revised) Poem by Margaret Alice Second

The Wonder Of You (Revised)

I love what you are and represent, your ideas,
assurance, principles, discipline and talent,
I love the essence of your being

I will go on holistically loving this whatever
you do, wherever you may be, I shall cherish
the treasured memory of what you taught me

How you were kind when I felt swept away
by feelings - yielding to despair, you never
gave up on me as if the tie binding was a

special understanding - a gift you never
suspended, sharing your strength that way
kept me safe; when boredom paralysed and

life seemed meaningless I gave up but you
anchored me. Thanks for the wonder of you in
a well-meaning world full of insight-less

strangers lacking your gift and affability
