Lest salvation be plagued with doubt
Confusion, trouble man
Lest empty be the cross of clout
And robbed of Heaven’s plan
Lest ‘You did that’ and ‘I did this’
Becoming standard code
Lest we our Lord and God dismiss
And truth’s no longer told
Much foolishness is taught today
Blasphemy’s common place
So many hear but fall away
To wander in disgrace
In sin to live in shame to die
Whilst help is plain to see
Whilst God and truth are ever nigh
To set His children free
But some may cloud an infant’s eyes
When self has raised his head
Spreading rumour theory and lies
In place of Heaven’s bread
Yet who is man to brag and boast?
What power dwells within?
Without The Saviour’s Holy Ghost
No crown he’d ever win
We need to change these strange ideas
Renounce the thoughts of fools
Return to God and godly fears
And be our Saviour’s tools
It’s Christ who died it’s Christ who lives!
Its Christ who heals and saves
It’s Christ through whom our God forgives
And Christ who’ll empty graves
