'There’s Only So Much You Can Do When You’re Dead' Poem by Brytanne Lee

'There’s Only So Much You Can Do When You’re Dead'

Where are you?
I want you to know I’m okay
I want you to know that I’m always here for you
Do not join me as you always consider
There is no heaven
There is no hell
There’s only you walking around thinking of what might have been
I am alone
Wishing that I could touch your warm, soft skin one more time
Yearning to kiss those welcoming lips one more time
Look in the dark corner that you always ignore
I’m standing there
When you are crying for me on your bed
I’m stroking you like I used to
Know this:
The way that I died was no mistake
I did it for you
I love you
And don’t make the same mistake…
Too late
