These Deep Mysteries Poem by DM W

These Deep Mysteries

These deep mysteries
I cannot communicate
To you. For they are
Only vague hints and guesses;
Formed from worn out creeds
And the frayed patterns of faith.
I cannot hope
To name their teeming essence,
For the tools I use
Are clearly inadequate.
Yet in many ways,
They reveal a light that is
Hidden among a
Wanton world of distractions.
These deep mysteries
Are always pointing towards
A silence beyond
Words, yet we cannot grasp it.
