They Lie Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

They Lie

They lie

People are containers,
Exactly same as kegs,
A content inside them!

Crocodiles are talkers,
No one dares to reject
The Ashley's cuteness.

Thanks to the Internet
Acting as matchmaker
She purchased a ticket
And sat in airplane,
To take her to London.

Now people, relatives,
Speak soft and sweet
As if are in mourning
With lot of sympathy.

No one wants to see depth
Of the cause, travel,
Was meeting lone reason?

No one says, nor mentions
About her, their culture,
To have caused departure
That ended in murder…!

Says one of her cousins:
"Meant to do many things
To fulfill her dreams…"

She had stepmother,
Absent is her mother,
Can that be the reason?

All of them pretend,
Can it be from faith?

Did social barriers
Steal her freedom?
