Things Have Not Changed Any Poem by Francis Duggan

Things Have Not Changed Any

Everyone have their stories of life for to tell
And so many only know of life in Earthly Hell
But these are the people we do not hear of or read about
Of any recognition sadly they do lose out
That it is a Human World for winners does seem obviously clear
It is only of wealthy celebrities we read of and hear
To the winners the admiration in the World of today
But having this said it was always this way
Due to malnutrition or other untreated illnesses some of the poor do die young
And as they live they die as humanity's unsung
In a Human World where for a minority to win big many do have to lose
Though losing is a thing anyone does not choose
Things have not changed any since the days of old
Only the stories of the wealthy and famous are told.
