Thirteenth Floor Poem by Timmy Tubbs

Thirteenth Floor

We are fullfilling the pattern atop the thirteenth floor
Dancing around your stringy suit
In a used room overlooking narrow avenues
Endless paths compassed with haste under a thousand feet
As our eyes clasp so tight a hundred miles from home's shore
And I’m kissing every pore

Our lips are grounded and we sneak to our cave
Flesh to flesh causes our hearts to sputter
I attempt a one-footed dance as I fight with my pants
Giggle is you and seductive are your eyes

The bathroom sink beckons you to sit
Slowly spreading your thighs
one foot for the door and one for my hand
Raw trust sneaks in bearing no lies
Cheek to cheek we dance as lour lungs gasp deep
A feeble attempt to passionately kiss just before the peek
I clasp your head and hold you safe in this shaky place
I wanted to hold you, naked and forever

We collapse in an ocean of white sheets
The sun vanishes behind taller reflections
And my shoulder sings you to sleep
I am left in love, counting sheep

In a place of confusion, the morning bends our smiles
The yellow reflects into us once again
Your eyes already open planning another last nights when
And you have that seductive grin again
