This Door To Life Poem by Ronald Strickland

This Door To Life

I opened the door and I opened it wide; This door to Life.

There was so many paths to take. With each I took, I could only hope it would not be a mistake.

So Many promises are like lighted neon signs, promises of love, wealth

promises that await, and so many heartfelt things.

Bare the strength that disappointment will come my way.

I must turn away from what I believe but was deceived, carry on forward for I know there will be brighter days with truthful dreams.

I'll do my best on this path of life. I have only me to blame if things don't turn out right.

I left the door open into my path of life to start over to fulfill my dreams.
