This Is Human Life Poem by Francis Duggan

This Is Human Life

Rating: 5.0

In the early twenty first century self promotion is an in thing
So many their own praises willing to sing
Of the narcissistic mind it can be said
That any semblance of humility is dead
An old saying that does remain relevant today
Self praise is no praise as the wise one did say
Yet so many are into self in a big way
And for some self promotion a dividend does pay
To believe any story some all too inclined
The gullible type they are not hard to find
So many their own stories does like to tell
The listen to and look at me syndromes are alive and well
In the twenty first century narcissism is rife
But then one must say this is human life.
