This Is The Home Of Silence Poem by Kenneth Maswabi

This Is The Home Of Silence

I have been to the valley of sorrow
It's a beautiful place full of tears
It's a lush plain of sadness
And there is no tranquillity on sight
This is not a place for Silence to grow

I have been to the summit of joy
It's a place full of happiness
Laughter fills the air
And excitement is everywhere
This is not a place for Silence to grow

I have been to the pit of darkness
I was pierced by a poisonous arrow of fear
Each and every one of my senses was petrified
And my body, mind and soul was solidified
This is not a place for Silence to grow

I have been to the house of Silence
Every fibre of my being was melted
All my mental capability frozen
And my emotions vaporized
My heart was emptied of all the ego
And my body, mind and soul merged
I was a whisper of nothingness
And my spirit was an ocean of tranquillity
This is the home of Silence
