Time's gonna prove my love;
Years gonna drive me up;
Things gonna come my way;
And I'm gonna make my day.

Take my word for it;

I've never seen anything like this in my heyday feat!

I've felt it so many times;
I've known it all the while;
I've driven it so many miles,
That life's gonna take my side.

I've never seen the likes of it in my salad days!

When things do not work out as I will
I do not take them with me anymore;
I let them stray faraway in the wild,
Someday I believe they'll come seeking me,
And I believe it's when I need them badly.
After all, this is what life's all about!

I'm drawn to trust life's darkest face
For I can read in it tomorrow's fate;
I know goodwill do not defeat
But will lead to its true end;
I believe any day true wishes do come true.

It's always okay to feel defeated
But never the same when you give up,
Because life can only be lived once,
And you learn things the hard way;
But harder than life is always you.

You may take any path you like
But the right one is always at your heart;
It's never too late to trust yourself,
