i revere your
silence
as i have loved
you
as i have been
silent too
about this
reverence for
love

this is the kind
that does not demand
that remains patient
and kind
and always
not wanting the words
to speak it out

this is the one
that watches you when
you prepare
breakfast when you hum
a music to the
kitchen wares
as you open the windows
to let the morning
light in.


this is the one
that loves even when
love is gone.
