This Path Called Love. Poem by Danielle Ward

This Path Called Love.

Rating: 4.5

It is the longest path,
An open road.
I stand at the brink,
Toes tipping the edge, and I sigh.
It is a long road to walk.
There are hills to traverse,
Holes to leap,
Winding forks to navigate.
Sometimes it will seem too hard a terrain,
And I will struggle.
Sometimes it will seem too far,
And I will fall.
Sometimes it will seem too isolated,
And I will cry.
But this path goes on forever,
And I will walk it,
As long as you walk beside me
And hold my hand.

Your path of love has promise but I do suggest you remove 'it will seem' from two of your lines. Your poem falters due to repetition and repeating this phrase does not reinforce...it hinders. I like this otherwise.
