In one moment we follow the path of Poe
For his is the path we so very well know.
In the same moment we run from his path

We know the terror and the fury
Along this path we so very well know.
We know the sadness and the loneness
That lead us to this path we so very well know.

We write of pain and of despair
Like Poe on this path we so very well know.
We record the suffering and the grief
Like Poe on this path we so very well know.

In one moment we follow the path of Poe
For his is the path we so very well know.
In the same moment we run from his path
For this is the path we so very well know.

If we focus behind us we'll surely die
Following this path we so very well know.
To perceive only darkness is to ignore the light
So let's run from this path we so very well know.

In our forlorn we cling to our hope
As we step from this path we so very well know.
To each the other is a beacon of guidance
As we're leaving this path we so very well know.

In one moment we follow the path of Poe

Your hope is mine, my happiness, yours

A strong flame is needed to purify gold
