Thought Wrong Poem by Reginald Goodridge

Thought Wrong

Here I am exemplifying evil
thinking the wrong things
wanting without recourse
lying to myself

Viewing with hunters eyes
preparing cordite
explosively presuming
I can be someone else

Good to know
Mother's prayers
Father's lectures
lover's needs
bring me back

Maintaining sobriety
work to do
people to see
speeches to make
financial forecast, black

Be good to me fate
allow me to fly high
swing low
with agility and grace

Be my friend love
walk with me often
tickle my senses
allow grand smiles upon my face
