Three Wishes And A Prayer Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Three Wishes And A Prayer

If you wish
You soon could be
Sailing on the deep blue sea,
Or building castles on the sand
In some exotic far-off land.

Wish again
And to your surprise
You could be jetting thro' the skies
Heading for the town of Memphis
To honour the famous King, dear Elvis.

Just one more wish
And very soon
You could be speeding to the moon
Or flying to the Planet Mars
Way up high among the stars.

But if you prefer
A quiet time, and
Do not wish to spend a dime
Then say a prayer and you will be
Back home upon your Mamma's knee.
