'Three Word Song' Poem by Broken Wings

As those words leave your lips and reach my ears, I will smile through the tears.
A melody only meant for my ears, just those three words are my song.
They are my lullaby as they tuck me in and say goodnight.
They wipe my tears away and soothe my heart ache.
They help me to breathe or take my breath away.
So sweet yet so painful as they draw me closer to your fire.
Afraid to be burned but they lure me close.
Three simple but powerful words, say them again softly for me, lure me in again.
