Through Christ I Know

Who knows what’s hidden up ahead?
What’s waiting round the bend?
When finally the flesh is dead?
And time has met its end

What waiting at the judgment seat?
Beyond this realm of lies
When God Himself we soar to meet
And face those piercing eyes

When truth’s revealed, when darkness fails
When all our lives lay bare
When each removes their trusted veils
And Judgment’s standing there

What happens when all lies are seen?
When all deceit’s made clear
Where only Christ can intervene
To free a soul of fear

What waits for those who self would please
Who’ve lived with hearts as stone?
Who’ve died and seen no victories
Who Christ, have never known

But by God’s grace we may endure
Free of eternal shame
So here right now I’m making sure
Calling His righteous name

His name is Jesus Prince Of Peace
The Lamb who chose to die
The King of kings who’ll never cease
To reign as Lord on high

All praise to God my Saviour true
To Christ my Friend divine
I know The Path I must pursue
Where endless joy is mine
