Thrown Away Poem by David Harris

Thrown Away

Lives are discarded daily
for one reason or another.
Some are put in body bags
when they go to war.
Others are thought as hopeless
and are carelessly thrown away.
Some resist the movement
and within them the will to live is strong.
They fight for every moment
that their breath may give to them.
They want nothing more than to live,
the right of every mortal thing t
hat walks on the face of this good earth.
Before we discard a life,
we must give that life a chance to live.
Life is too precious
to be ever thrown away.
