This poem is a perfect observation of nature in action, I know only two ted Hughes poems, this one and The Jaguar, as I had to analyze them in a lit class 25 years ago, but I never forgot them. That should attest to the power of the words and Ted Hughe's ability to strike home with his sharp, and true observations of life.
