Tides And Troubles Poem by Aniruddha Pathak

Tides And Troubles

Rating: 5.0

Kneeling under the span of open sky,
I bent down trying to reach the wet sand,
A fragment of swept-ashore shell in hand,
And wrote upon a patch of beach swept dry—
Whatso that had stayed long in my mind's rear,
And walked away, turning nor looking back,
The words wilted away from mind's dry deck,
The tide came, closed in all of it to clear.

And truth dawned with all its compelling force:
I put to pen cathartic words of pain,
Rains as end a lingering spell of hot reign—
A cure for pain, the sea concurs and roars.
In rising wave a future fall abides,
A waxing tide its waning sister hides.__________________________________________________
