Tied Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Tied

Tied

I see them
-am in shade

They come out
-cave closes its door
-dungeons learn to hug
-the air of freedom; after
-when released the prisoners,
-chewing on cemented metal bars

And freed
-torch in hand
-marches
-and marches on
-heads forward
-in front waits the sun

Tied I am
-to shadows

My hands cuffed
-to shadows
-in the shades

Me with me
-so alone
-in the dark
-with myself
-as have been all along,
-guess will be forever…
