Tilapia Dream Poem by G. Akanji Olaniyi

Tilapia Dream

Rating: 4.8

From the salty Salton Sea
To the ancient River Nile
Comes a nourishment more than a tea
Streamline body strewn in a file

To ancient Egyptians it meant rebirth
Accompanying and protecting the sun
Mentioned in Christ era; though not its birth
The Sea of Galilee; abode for its fun

Now I dream of Tilapia
For my meal in search of protein
Never ever going to Serbia
Getting bag loads in the market is certain
