For time we must brace ourselves
For destiny we must prepare
We must raise our walls up high
Save she catch us unaware
Time waits for no man
And no man does she pardon
The turns and trials she brings
Whether foretold or sudden
Who are we to say of her?
She isn't one to discriminate
Catching us when we sleep
Leaving destruction in her wake
She breaks hearts among the rest
Of which she doesn't really mind
The people we once loved
Lost on the sands of time
She is no doctor to our wounds
Our scars she only deepens
Thoughts mangled in her hands
Longing within us she quickens
Today Time passed me by
She moved on to another unlucky soul
Forgetting-a choice she didn't leave me
Nor the option of letting you go
