Time Poem by Maureen Alikor

Time

what is hidden
is indeed hidden
reason known to He
who sees in the dark

His choice has been made
yet its effect robs off on us
what have we to gain
if we all our pains do bare?

heavy hearts
like a pregnant cloud
waiting to be purged
would it be induced?
Would it freely yield?

Time!
The only bearer of delight
lavish on us sweet comfort
to allay our fears
and diminish our hurts
