Time and tide
Unvarying as night and day
Wait for no man.
Space without limit
Stars, suns, galaxies
Universes flow ever outwards.
Great mystery of emptiness
Eternal darkness
With no beginning or end.
Is that where God abides
Pacing the darkness
Seeding the galaxies with stars?
No beginning or end in eternal darkness where God presents. As night and day, time and tide alternate, there is nothing permanent. Everything changes by some order as decided by God. I think the poet means by these lines.
