Time Does Not Stop Poem by Francis Duggan

Time Does Not Stop

Time does not stop it ticks and ticks away
And for all of us a final night and final day
Like all life forms us humans are born to die
This is a fact and fact does never lie
You more likely than not will be outlived by your daughter and son
But they too will die since death is for everyone
And though your gift of life from once lost forever gone
The thread of life it does go on and on
The materially wealthiest people on Planet Earth today
On how long they live they do not have a say
The dead they never hear the funeral bell
Tolling for them from life a last farewell
And though as part of life death is a natural thing
It's praises you do nothear anyone sing.
