Time Harvest Poem by Hans Ostrom

Time Harvest

The nowberries are ripe.
Let’s pick.
We’re well stocked with
thenberry preserves.

And this past Spring we planted
bare-root futureberry bushes,
which are known to bloom
like crazy but not bear fruit.

It’s important, then, agreed,
to harvest nowberries in today’s
sky full of light?
How sweet they are: firm

and up-to-date.
Alert the girls and fetch
the lads! Nowberry season is
upon us.
