IT IS still the dog inside us
that tries to impress others with
the waggling of our
invincible tails,
The dragon that spits fire
and destroys houses and gardens
within us
still hides and never defeated
Outside our hearts and minds
The face shows the glow of the moon
calm, gentle
No sign of an earthquake or typhoon
Reserved like a table for two
Like lovers hugging on the lane
by the boulevard
You must admit
IT is a matter of keeping the balance
Molten lava inside
Yet a garden of roses and olive trees
Outside
One still has to figure out
The outcome
Time heals, Time judges.
