Time To Heal Poem by ann rta

Time To Heal

Rating: 5.0

Looking on into the world,
withdrawn from its enticements.
Stand outside in another place,
silent, meditating.
Sick and tired, worn and weepy,
drowning at lowest ebb,
retreat into a lonely lair
to lick and tend your wounds.
No talking, sympathetic words,
no controlling, kind, advice,
just peace with you, your inner soul
to seek a new beginning.
Slowly feel the power returning,
the lassitude receding.
Life stirring, ready to go back
through the shifting sands.
But, stay a while, take time to heal
and then descend from calm.
Soar forth from fires of past hurts,
like the mighty Phoenix,
letting flames scorch and burn,
turning cold pains to ashes.
