Tired Poem by Adeaze Tinkerbelle

Tired

Rating: 5.0

You said you would never get tired
Of all the things I do,
You said you’d never leave me,
But are those feelings still true?

You swore to me you'd never break,
But now you've cracked, and left
a little piece of you, in me,
I will humbly take.

I sometimes feel like we're in this vicious cycle,
Of tainted love and wasted years,
Why do we keep hiding away
all of our twisted fears?

It scares me so much when I see
how easy it is for you to leave,
You know I won't break down, make you stay
If you need an escape, you can go away.

I'm tired of hurting you,
loving me must be a chore,
If you want to leave me now,
I can't make you stay anymore.
I'm tired of crushing our happiness,
and taking up the years,
I just want you to do what's best,
No matter my tears.

I'm tired of playing this silly game,
You hate me, I love you, it's getting insane,
It's time for us to just continue to live,
While all the while, continuing to give.

I love you, my dear,
I mean it, with my heart.
I know if we leave it will tear me apart.
But you deserve happiness,
no more grief, it’s true.
I'm not gonna hurt you the way that I do.
Please remember, this hurts me,
To admit that I hurt you this way,

So let me ask you this;
will you leave me, or stay?
