Tired Of Asphalt Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Tired Of Asphalt

Tired of asphalt

Will someone, anyone
Ignore the connections
relations, race, gender
take me deep in desert
like Kerman’s, or Hejaz
Sahara?
Anywhere with no light
but the moon’s, or the sun’s
and maybe some insect’s
Fire-worm’s.
If not to, an ocean, or a cave
where the things are humble.

Want to be out of sight of
cities and the towns
am tired of cement and asphalt.
