It all happened so fast,
As if we were both blessed…
To meet; as if it would last,
Twin souls reborn of the past…

‘Cause once upon a time in the east,
Two kids met during a happy feast,
True feelings took their joyful lease,
Bringing their souls to a spiritual ease…

But pain and heartache were soon to roll,
Come into their lives and gain control,
And to put on them that heavy chain,
Until no heart its love could refrain…

It was hard for him to face the fact,
For having a woman at any cost,
But never bargained for her in any act,
Making him see the love he lost…

Now no one can ease his pain,
And get him on his feet again,
His feelings are totally dumb,
And he’s comfortably numb…

And now the child is grown,
But the dream he had is gone,
Must put on that white gown,
And sit on life’s new throne.

Dear friend of mine, thank you,
Thanks for your silence,
For your confidence,
For your forgiveness,
For your truthfulness,
Thanks for making me confess,
For the nights we played chess,
For everything… may God bless…
