I listened through your silence
tried to understand
patiently I waited
for you to take a stand

I waited for you
to give me a reason to stay
but you didn't seem to care
no affection day after day

So secretly my heart moved on
As emotionally we drifted apart
you refused to let me through your wall
to let me see your heart

Our journey came to an end
yet I admit I thought forever we would last
I tried so hard to prevent our love from running out
But soon our love became our past

Infatuation is often confused with love
so how could I tell the difference between the two
A girl still young yet to find the answer
But thought I did love you

But refused to put effort
in our relationship you did
I so desprately tried
but your feelings you hid
