To Be A Star Poem by Destry Miller

To Be A Star

How would it be
To be a star
What would i see
From way up far...

Fear of living
Fear of dying
No one giving
Only lying
Too much death
Going on
Night after night
From dusk till dawn
Evil on the loose
Depression hanging
A strangled noose
Feet dangling
Air gasping
Desperate pain
Death laughing
Tears rain
No one blinks
No one sees
Not a wink
Of missed sleep...

How would it be
To be a star
what would i see
From way up far?

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

I like that. Kinda sounded like twinkle twinkle little star, but sadder. I don't know if you were going for that. It also sounds just like my poem The World We Live In, rhythm wise.
