To Be Understood Poem by Sam Sam

How beautiful it is to be understood
Desire for many but only a few could
taste the phrase, 'I understand you'
Such a harmony for the soul to unhood

Lips create music of their thought
and then wait for someone to dance
Tune hits the walls, gets distorted
To embrace company, a missed chance

In the night of stars but solitude
One is in quest of a day, to elude
On voyaging along guitar's strings
Be their vacant hole, be the etude

Be ears for the ones with low voice
Ones who got devoiced in a rejoice
Lie on their songs to feel softness
of words and the air carrying them

And if their tongue abuses, cut it!
Cut it with kindness, and throw it!
Give them new alphabets out of love
Be their friend, not a death verdict

How beautiful it is to be understood
Mid of a frozen night, fire and wood
A companion blinking, a smile so good
Bowl full of notions, a spoon of mood
