To Find Another You Poem by David Harris

To Find Another You

Rating: 4.9

Sitting on the beach
Throwing pebbles in the waves
Thinking about the dreams I’ve saved
Watching courting couples
Passing by arm in arm
Feeling totally intoxicated by your charms

Wondering how I would feel
If we had never met
Wondering how long it would take
To find another you
Knowing you are irreplaceable
If I ever had to

Luckily these were only daydreams
Underneath a sunshine carpet
My world is not likely to crumble
Until the good Lord takes you away
That won’t be for a long time yet
Is all I can hope for and pray

I agree with Duncan and also think you are fortunate to have such a love, for in today's world, love seems to be not so everlasting if even found at all. mm.
