To God, The Potter Poem by Melody Thaila Kuku

To God, The Potter

Rating: 3.0

Thou has searched me and known me,
The rising and sitting of my heels,
My thoughts thou knew from a far.
My path you surround
My lying down and ways.

The words on my tongue,
You know by heart.
My soul is beset by thee,
Behind and a fore.
Thy great hands on my shoulder, lay.
Thy knowledge is too wonderful,
Its height i cannot attain.

Whither shall i go from thy spirit?
Whither shall i flee from thy presence?
If i ascend up to heaven,
Thou art there.
If i make my bed in hell,
Thou art there.

If i take the wings of the morning,
And fly to the uttermóst part of the sea,
Even there shall thy hand lead me,
And thy right hand shall hold me.

If i say the darkness shall cover me,
Even the night shall be light about me.
The darkness hideth not from thee,
But the night shíneth as the day,
Darkness and the nights are twins to thee.

Fór thou has possessed my reins,
Thou hast covered me in my móther's womb.
