To Jim
God's finger touched you long ago- pointing you to the Cross
To produce a gain from a certain loss
When life gave you that tragic shift of gear
And you found your Faith- a relic so dear
Dreaming a path- preposterous to some
The perplexing medical field- Good God!
Offering you and your faith new paths to trod
But to pray with you and Saretha in Lourdes today
With flickering candles wiping our fears away
Summons towers of gratitude which will never depart
As your presence and faith touch my appreciative heart
