To Love Again Poem by Monkee Thompson

To Love Again

How I feel
Is of little importance
The distance between
To much to measure
The hope of an impulse
Too long ago forgotten
Wishing to love again
Even if just for a day
To see your face
Just for the first time
To know your breath
Tingles down my spine
To feel your touch
And know that you are mine
To be with you now and for all time
My reason to wake
And not to die
Is written on your face
And reflected by your smile
