To My Lady Poem by Zunda Wezi Chibwe

To My Lady

I haven't had the chance to put my feelings in poetry,
This is an insult and a mockery of my creativity,
Let me lay it down as factual as possible,
The love we share is incredible,
I may not know how to correctly portray your significance in my life,
But to say you hold no value or influence in it is like failing to cut through butter with a sharp hot knife,
I adore your beauty inside out,
Your presence, your graceful smile, your whole being bewitches my senses in ways i still havent figured out,
Your curiosity drives me between insane and angry then all together amazed,
At times you make me feel responsible for you then other times dependent on you and of that I'm not ashamed,
I would go on all night trying to express an emotion beyond comprehension,
Just to try and explain the unfathomable compassion,
Truthfully this can all be said in a simple phrase,
Made up only of three words,
And it holds the whole universe in awe of its greatness,
I love you....
