To My Love, My Purple King Poem by Linda Neill Poet Digter

To My Love, My Purple King

…Remembrance notes are dressed indeed
for you, my king, in my honorable waiting deed…

Hear my epic chant on a rose wood guitar
Imbedded within a heart shaped Indian sitar,
a lavender song to my beloved king clothed
in Jasper stone colored cloth, - my beloved.

My lilac purple pining wishes are imprinted
in lavender thoughts your face is so anointed.
My lament presses my lungs out, for without
you, - my breath whistles, my soul cries aloud.

Here in a longing psalm and decision
hear roses in song 'Our hearts decision'
My queen heart invited to be wed
is always clad in a lovely thread of red
but the ache that grips me right now
plays in lavender blue, mauve in sorrow

(Here I remain waiting, of thee I do tell, -
although knowing it will all play out well
in our noble marriage, a love dew spell
of an endless love we do foretell)
