To The One I Love Poem by Marbet Daniel

To The One I Love

Some friends call me a poet,
that i cannot say for sure.
But sometimes i wish i were a
shakespeare
to put all the monologues,
fantasies, illusions, conversations,
feelings, whatever they are.
Put them on paper as sonnets,
and read them loud to you.
Crazy! right?
For a million times together
we've laughed,
talked about life, gov't, business,
love, anything, everything.
Toured the park together and
enjoyed photography in the wild,
went for hikes with friends,
admired the beauty of the stars
at midnight,
sat silently under the moon
listening to the winds and
crickets,
the cold withstanding, just the
wormth of love.
We played the guitar and sung
together,
smile at you laugh at my terrible
voice and tempo.
We've attended parties and plays
a thousand times.
Took turns cooking in the
kitchen....
The infinite world we've
explored together,
all these inside my tiny litle mind.
Obssesed, fixated or in love. I
dont know.
But it just cant stop.
I say i love you and you say it
back...
But there is more, much more
behind these words,
I love you.
