To The Same Right Honourable, George, Marquess Of Buckingham, Upon The Accession Of His Office Of The Admiralty Poem by John Ashmore

To The Same Right Honourable, George, Marquess Of Buckingham, Upon The Accession Of His Office Of The Admiralty

SingIo.Buckingham doth Seas controwle:
He Horses rules, and Waves that proudly rowle.
So, 'mongst the gods, Neptune, that bravely glides
Through Crystall streames, courageous Horses guides.
Then, let none think this double Powr unfit;
Sith even the gods, themselves, have practiz'd it.
