To Try Forever Justify Poem by Madrason .

To Try Forever Justify

Black girl
told a little
white lie
you know why...
our hearts beat
all just the same
but beaten differently
are we
oh my daddy's
hands were white
or used to be
they say its running
in the family
our skin is thicker
we need to carry on,
on and, on and on
standing in rows
just like you do
turning numbers
do you too
ragged or in lumbers
I'd still rather be
dirty from work
numb trough my shoes
from being told
called what to-dos
than to marry
a white jerk
or a white clerk
-money honey-
I'd rather be clean
than to be mean
-till it chills
through the bones-
and to try
forever
justify
...............
black girl
told a little
white lie
you know why...
