To whom do I give my heart?
This strange, fluttery, beating bleeding organ
Broken, twisted, callused and childlike
Ready to leap out of my hand
Chomping at the bit, chasing love and other rainbows.
Do I give it to you?
You whose need sings in your blood
Your carelessness and crazy ways
Can destroy me, you fickle talk
Break me in two.
I cannot trust you. I do not know your ways.
Do I want to give it to you?
Man of my religion
Whenever, ever, never you might come along
Do I hold on to it?
In my loneliness, waiting for the right person
While others live in coupliness and romance
Waiting for you to spot me
Hoping you will speak to me
Love me, accept me?
Where are you, who are you
Who should I give my heart to?
