Tonight Poem by Andrew Rose

Tonight I was shown how short a day can be,

Even when it smiles,

Smiles like it hasn’t in such a long time,

I was reminded that friends can hurt you so much more,

Than lovers ever could,

That the world will never make life easy,

Never fail to pull that price right out from under your feet,

Happiness has its cost,

And we wonder why some people never strive to be happy?

Today I was reminded that forgiveness is the first step to enlightenment

(a poem that either is a new style or just isnt really a poem, still it had to be said)
