Tonight Poem by Alexander Foald

Tonight

Tonight,
I’ll be dreaming about you
All the stars can fall right behind the moon’s eye
But my love will cross the night to reach your heart

You can be all the dream a man could have of
You can set things right when they all go wrong
Make believe for something I never had faith in
You can make miracle whenever I want it to be

And all the better I ever had until now
All the worst I never see on tomorrow
Is what we will remember when we get old
And when you leave me on your way back home

Tonight,
I’ll remember your beauty within the dark side of the night
I’ll make a painting of the lips that kiss my pain away
And carve the eyes that turn me to stones of a mountain
I’ll make a house for your innocent and pure love
Until the day nothing can hold the sky up above your hair

Because love is cruel, for not taking responsible
When I fell too deep the first time we met
And because love is good, for there’s nothing to lose
And because love is you, and that’s why I love you
