Too Damn Scared. Poem by Steven Harris

Too Damn Scared.

Rating: 3.5

This man here, me
this man sitting on this bed
this man, me
drinking the same old beer
this man here, me
i'm too shy to be selfish
i'm too shy to have any self interest
too damn scared too not care
i should speak up more
break out of this concrete shell
and tell these poeple what im feeling
show them what there doing
f'ing everything up they are
but i wont do it
i wont say anything
i care too much
and im too damn scared
i could walk away and start again
surround myself with fresh faces
but i'll stay
because im too damn scared
this man here, me
sitting on this bed
too damn scared to try
too scared too change things
too shy to break this shell
too shy to walk away
thats me
thats why im here.
