Towards A Distant Chair Poem by Reginald Enakadm sanele

Towards A Distant Chair

Logically I’ve lost control of this frequency,
A problem beyond my intellectual capability.
Expressions and poignant emotions of no deficiency,
Pretending the feeling we both have is of no quality.
Ok its fine, you can keep your dignity
But dignity is the price you’ll pay for love of no infinity.

Here is a chair but nobody offered so I thought I’d just go ahead and sit.
Yet I cannot reach.
Looking at it knowing is worthy of I to sit rescinds my exhausted chest.
Demotivation of no invitation intrudes my feeble mind and I am left with confirming that the complications of an unwanted situation are adequate to the promotions that destroy me.
The distance between us widens every second, every moment, everyday and trying to narrow it seems hopeless.

I met a girl that defines beauty, there’s so much beauty in her that to me being without her beauty doesn’t exist.
I learnt not late that her smile is true
Her eyes are of fame and her prudent ways always walk her through.

Here is a chair but I cannot sit.
I tried yesterday, today and I will try tomorrow for I am without choice.
The love I have for her makes me weak every single day and I will wait for years if I have to because I love her. Yes I do.
